We love Buenos Aires: the food, the wine, the architecture, the people. As I write this in July, 2024, I cannot remember why we decided to go there over Labor Day weekend in 2022. But go there we did! According to my records, I booked our flights using points in May of 2022.
Getting there: ORD-LGA/JFK-EZE on AA in Economy. All I remember is the cab ride between LGA and JFK was speedy and we visited the Admiral’s Club in T8 right before the AA-BA rebranding.
Staying there: Anselmo, a Hilton Curio Collection hotel, on points. Love San Telmo!
Getting back: EZE-DFW-ORD on AA in business class. Very nice. Very spendy: 110k AA miles per ticket. We must have really wanted to go! And that was when I still had oodles of miles and points to burn. (I’m currently looking in the proverbial couch cushions for points to spend for winter of 2025…)
